Capri Private Boat Tour
One premium SACS RIB, twin Mercury V10 400hp and a skipper who knows every cove — Capri to yourselves, for the day. The Faraglioni, the Blue Grotto and swim stops no ferry can reach.
from €1.500
A Capri private boat tour should feel like the island is yours for the day — no shared decks, no fixed timetable, no rushing back for the next group. Strider Amalfi is a fully private charter aboard one premium SACS RIB, twin Mercury V10 400hp at the stern and a professional skipper always on board.
Up to eight guests, one crew, a route built entirely around you: the Faraglioni at golden light, the Blue Grotto when the sea allows, and swim stops the ferries never see. This is Capri at your own pace — exclusive, unhurried, and effortless from the moment you step aboard.

The itinerary
Boarding & welcome
Meet your skipper at the dock nearest your stay, settle onto the teak deck and run through the day's plan over an espresso before casting off. A sample day — everything is shaped around you.
Crossing to Capri
An open-water run toward the island on the twin Mercury V10s: smooth, fast and scenic, with the coastline falling away behind you.
Faraglioni & Lovers' Arch
A slow pass between Capri's iconic rock stacks and through the natural arch off Punta Tragara — the island's most photographed views, the boat to yourselves.
Blue Grotto, sea permitting
We line up for the Grotta Azzurra and its electric-blue light. Entry is by local rowboat with a small separate fee paid on site.
Swim & aperitivo
Anchor in a sheltered spot such as Marina Piccola or beneath the cliffs for a swim, a snorkel and chilled drinks on deck.
Capri ashore & slow return
Step ashore for the Piazzetta or lunch at Marina Grande, then cruise home in the soft afternoon light — extend to sunset whenever you like.
The boat: one premium SACS RIB, yours alone
Strider Amalfi charters a single SACS RIB, one of the Mediterranean's most respected rigid-inflatable builders. Twin Mercury V10 400hp engines carry you to Capri quickly and smoothly, so the day is spent swimming and exploring rather than sitting in transit.
On deck: teak flooring, leather seating, broad sun pads, a shaded T-Top, fridge, Bluetooth sound system, phone charging, a fresh-water shower and a swim ladder. Stable at anchor, exhilarating under way and finished to a standard that makes a private Capri boat tour feel effortless from start to finish.

Private, not shared: Capri at your pace
This is a private charter, not a group excursion. The boat is yours alone — no strangers on the rail, no fixed timetable, no rushing back to a pier for the next departure. Your skipper reads the sea and shapes the day around what you actually want: longer at the Faraglioni, an extra swim stop, lunch ashore in Capri, or a slow golden-hour run home.
With one crew dedicated entirely to your party, the day is calmer and far more personal. For the full picture of routes, timing and what to expect, see our Capri boat tour guide.

What a private day around Capri looks like
A private day lets you string together Capri's best from the water: the Faraglioni and the Lovers' Arch, Marina Piccola, the Green Grotto and Punta Carena, and the Blue Grotto when the sea allows. Anchor for a swim beneath the cliffs, then go ashore for the Piazzetta or lunch at Marina Grande whenever it suits you.
Planning the Grotta Azzurra in particular? Our guide to Blue Grotto prices and opening hours helps you time the visit, and our Capri tour from Positano covers that crossing in detail.

Departures, pricing & how to book
Private departures for Capri run from wherever suits your stay — Positano, Sorrento, Amalfi or Naples — and our SACS RIB makes most crossings in well under an hour. A full private day runs roughly six to eight hours, with plenty of time for the grotto, the Faraglioni, a long swim and lunch.
Pricing is transparent: from €1,500 per day, fuel charged separately, with seasonal surcharges on weekends, holidays and August. Prefer to start from the peninsula? See Sorrento to Capri by boat. Ready to lock a date? Message us on WhatsApp for live availability.

Frequently asked
Is this a private boat tour or a shared group tour?
Every Strider Amalfi outing is fully private. The SACS RIB is reserved exclusively for your group of up to eight — never shared with strangers — and a professional skipper plans the whole day around you, at your own pace.
How much does a private Capri boat tour cost?
A single private day starts from €1,500, with fuel charged separately. Seasonal surcharges apply: +€250 on weekends and holidays, +€500 in August and +€750 on August weekends. Message us on WhatsApp for an exact quote for your dates.
Is a captain included, and do we need a licence?
Yes. A professional skipper is always included and handles navigation, mooring and safety. This is a fully crewed private charter, not a bareboat rental, so you need no boat licence or experience — just relax on deck and enjoy Capri.
Can we go inside the Blue Grotto?
Yes, sea conditions permitting. We line up at the Grotta Azzurra and you enter on a small local rowboat with a separate fee paid on site. Access depends on swell and tide, so it can't be guaranteed — but it's unforgettable whenever it's open.
Where do private Capri departures leave from?
We're based on the Amalfi Coast and around Salerno and cover all of Campania. Private departures for Capri are easy from Positano, Sorrento, Amalfi or Naples — tell us where you're staying and we'll confirm the most convenient pick-up point.
What happens if the weather is bad?
If conditions don't allow a safe, enjoyable day at sea, your charter is reschedulable, refundable or transferable to the next season — no penalties. Your skipper watches the forecast closely and always proposes the safest, most scenic plan for the day.
