Capri · Private Skippered RIB Charter
Capri Boat Tour
A premium private RIB charter around Capri — the Faraglioni, the Blue Grotto and swim stops the ferries never reach, captain always at the helm and the boat yours alone.
from €1.500
A Capri boat tour is the best way to see the island the way it's meant to be seen — from the water, where the Faraglioni rise straight out of the sea and hidden caves glow blue beneath the cliffs. With Strider Amalfi you do it privately, on a single premium SACS RIB with a captain always at the helm.
This is no shared excursion. The boat is yours alone, up to eight guests, and the day bends to your pace: a slow pass through the Faraglioni arch, the Blue Grotto when the sea allows, long swim stops in turquoise coves and time ashore in the Piazzetta whenever you like.

The itinerary
Boarding & departure
Meet your captain at the agreed marina, settle onto the teak deck and run through the day's plan over a quick espresso before casting off toward Capri.
Arrival off Capri
The island opens ahead as you approach Marina Grande, with the Solaro cliffs and the white houses of Capri town climbing the green slopes above the water.
The Faraglioni & Lovers' Arch
Slow pass between Capri's three iconic rock stacks and through the natural arch off Punta Tragara — the island's most photographed stretch of coast.
Blue Grotto (Grotta Azzurra)
Sea conditions permitting, we line up for the Grotta Azzurra and its electric-blue light. Entry is by local rowboat with a small separate fee paid on site.
Swim & aperitivo stop
Anchor in a sheltered cove such as Marina Piccola or beneath the cliffs for a swim, a snorkel and chilled drinks on board the boat.
Capri ashore (optional) & circuit home
Go ashore at Marina Grande for lunch or the Piazzetta, then complete the island circuit past the Green and White grottoes before the cruise back.
What you see on a Capri boat tour
Circling Capri by sea strings together the island's best views in a single day. You start with the Faraglioni — three limestone stacks crowned by the rare blue lizard — and the natural arch where boats glide right through the rock. From there the circuit takes in Marina Piccola, the Green Grotto and White Grotto, the lighthouse at Punta Carena and the dramatic drop of the Solaro cliffs, with sheltered coves for swimming all along the way.
Because the boat is private, nothing is fixed: linger at the Faraglioni, add a second swim stop, or stay ashore in the Piazzetta until you're ready to leave. For an even more tailored day with extras like on-board catering and a fully bespoke route, see our private Capri boat tour.

The Blue Grotto and Capri's sea caves
The Grotta Azzurra is Capri's signature wonder — a low sea cave where sunlight refracts through an underwater opening and turns the whole pool a luminous, electric blue. We position the boat at the entrance and you step into a small local rowboat to go inside, with a separate fee paid on site. Access depends on swell and tide, so it can't be guaranteed, but when it's open it's unforgettable.
The island has other caves too — the Green Grotto and White Grotto on the southern side — and your captain reads the sea each morning to fit them in at the right moment. To plan around opening times and tickets, see our guide to Blue Grotto prices and opening hours.

Private charter, not a shared tour
On a ferry or group excursion you follow someone else's clock and share the deck with strangers. With Strider Amalfi the SACS RIB is yours alone — one boat, one group of up to eight, a captain who handles every mile and mooring while you simply relax.
We depart from across the coast and the Bay of Naples, so a Capri day fits whichever side you're staying on — for example the popular crossing from Sorrento to Capri. Prefer to read in Italian? See our escursione in barca a Capri for the same private experience described in your language.

Frequently asked
How much does a private Capri boat tour cost?
A single private day starts from €1,500, with fuel charged separately based on the route. Seasonal surcharges apply: +€250 on weekends and holidays and +€500 in August. Message us on WhatsApp for an exact quote for your dates.
Is the Capri boat tour private or shared?
Always private. We charter a single SACS RIB to one group of up to 8 guests — you're never grouped with strangers. It's the comfort of a private yacht with the speed and intimacy of a RIB, ideal for couples, families and small groups of friends.
Can we go inside the Blue Grotto on this tour?
Yes, sea conditions permitting. We line up at the Grotta Azzurra and you enter on a small local rowboat with a separate fee paid on site. Access depends on swell and tide, so it can't be guaranteed, but it's a highlight whenever the cave is open.
Where do you depart from for Capri?
We operate across the Amalfi Coast and the Bay of Naples, so departures are flexible to suit where you're staying — Positano, Sorrento, Naples, Salerno and more. Tell us your base on WhatsApp and we'll plan the most efficient crossing for your day.
Do we need a boat licence or any experience?
No. A professional captain is always included and handles all the navigation and mooring while you relax on board. This is a fully crewed private charter, not a bareboat rental, so no licence or boating experience is required.
What happens if the weather is bad?
If conditions don't allow a safe, enjoyable day at sea, your charter is reschedulable, refundable or transferable. Your captain monitors the forecast closely and will always recommend the safest, most scenic plan for the day.
